The Chesapeake Planned Giving Council's focus is to unite, educate and
support Gift Planning professionals. One way that has been extremely
effective in accomplishing these goals is our Mentoring Program. As a
service to its members, CPGC has designed this program to enrich both
Mentor and Mentee.
The objective of the Mentoring Program is to match those with a wealth
of experience to those who wish to draw upon and learn from that
experience. The expectation is that the Mentor and Mentee, once
matched, would begin a dialogue that may include periodic phone calls,
e-mails and an occasional meeting. After getting acquainted, they will
discuss mutual expectations, Planned Giving practices, gift vehicles and
career development in a manner most convenient for them.
Veterans in the Planned Giving community will well-recognize the
following names. They represent longtime members of the Chesapeake
Planned Giving Council, many of whom are members of the Council's
Advisory Board and past CPGC Presidents and Board members. Each is
well-respected in the Planned Giving Community and recognized by the
Council as having the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
